Due to the continued outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19, and its many variants. Ola Mai I Loko Mai is taking extra precautions with the intake of each client, health history review, as well as increased sanitation and disinfecting procedures.

COVID-19 Policies: FAQ

COVID-19, RSV, and Flu POLICIES and STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES SUPERCEDES ALL OTHER POLICIES CURRENTLY IN PLACE.

Due to the continued spread COVID-19 and its many variants, otherwise known as Novel Coronavirus. As well as RSV and our current Flu Season. Ola Mai I Loko Mai has made changes to certain policies and standard operating procedures. These changes have been made to effectively assist in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Symptoms of COVID-19

If you are experiencing any of the following COVID-19, otherwise known as Novel Coronavirus, symptoms please cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Symptoms of Covid-19 include but not limited to:

  •  Fever of 100.4°F or above

  •  Fatigue

  •  Dry Cough

  •  Difficulty Breathing

  •  Respiratory or flu like symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath

  •  Chills or Repeated Shaking with Chills

  •  Muscle Pain 

  •  Headache

  •  Sore Throat

  •  Loss of Taste or Smell

Symptoms of Flu 2022-2023

Flu signs and symptoms usually come on suddenly. People who are sick with flu often feel some or all of these symptoms:

  • Fever*/feeling feverish or chills

  • Cough

  • Sore throat

  • Runny or stuffy nose

  • Muscle or body aches

  • Headaches

  • Fatigue (tiredness)

  • Some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults.

*It’s important to note that not everyone with flu will have a fever.

RSV: Respiratory Syncytial Virus - Description and Symptoms

Respiratory syncytial (sin-SISH-uhl) virus, or RSV, is a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms. Most people recover in a week or two, but RSV can be serious, especially for infants and older adults. RSV is the most common cause of bronchiolitis (inflammation of the small airways in the lung) and pneumonia (infection of the lungs) in children younger than 1 year of age in the United States.

Symptoms: People infected with RSV usually show symptoms within 4 to 6 days after getting infected. Symptoms of RSV infection usually include:

  • Runny nose

  • Decrease in appetite

  • Coughing

  • Sneezing

  • Fever

  • Wheezing

Sickness or Illness

Massage/bodywork is not appropriate care for infectious or contagious illness.

Please cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware of an infectious or contagious condition. If it is within the 24-hour notice period, the cancellation fee may be waived.

Exposure to COVID (all Variants), Flu, RSV, or any other health hazard.

We kindly ask that you cancel or reschedule your appointment if you have been exposed or informed that you've been in close contact with someone who has or has been exposed to COVID.

“Just Allergies”

If you arrive at our office with "allergies" that include symptoms of a cough or shortness or breath, you will be sent home. If you are presenting ANY symptoms of illness, we recommend that you reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.

Wearing a Mask is NON-NEGOTIABLE!

Please WEAR your mask upon arrival to your appointment and into our building. This ensures the safety of YOU, your massage therapists, our business, and our fellow tenants within our building.

Temperature - Touchless Thermometer

Your temperature will be taken upon your arrival to our office for your appointment with a touchless thermometer.

Social Distancing

We will practice social distancing, maintaining a distance of 6 feet, as we are able throughout your appointment.

Cancellation Policy

Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, we have modified our cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all our clients. We hope this will alleviate any stress and hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. If you need to reschedule for whatever reason, and especially if you are not feeling well, we understand and request for you to please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. To further support you, there will be no penalties for cancellations at this time.

No Shows

 No shows will be charged the FULL amount of their scheduled appointment for missed appointments.

Tardiness

Appointment times are as scheduled and cannot extend beyond the stated time to accommodate late arrivals. Please be on time to your appointment.

Digital Intake Forms

All Intake Forms are currently in digital format, which are received via email. Please fill out Health and Treatment Intake forms prior to your arrival for your appointment.

COVID-19 Form

A COVID-19 Form is enclosed within each of your confirmation emails for your appointment. Your COVID-19 Form MUST BE COMPLETED prior to your arrival.

Credit Card Required

A Credit Card must be provided at the time of booking your appointment. Our Credit Card services are through a SECURE Merchant and transaction will be completely touch less.

Understand Risk

You understand the risk that you will be (maybe) taking by being a willing participant to receive a massage in this facility. You accept ALL responsibility in the event you test positive for COVID-19 at any time following your massage.

No Liability

You understand that this business and my massage therapist or other providers in this office cannot be held liable for any exposure to the virus or any other contagion caused by misinformation on this website, any forms, or the health history provided by you as a client.

Here at Ola Mai I Loko Mai, we hope that all of you and your families are doing well, staying safe and healthy, wearing your masks, and continuing to practice physical/social distancing.


First things first, Elijah and I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and aloha to all of you. Since reopening in June 2020, after our temporary COVID-19 closure, we have been booked solid and continue to book appointments rapidly. Mahalo nui loa, thank you very much, for trusting us and continuing to book your Lomi appointments with both Elijah and I.


Second, we would like to reach out to all of you and answer questions in regards to Governor Insleeʻs November Washington State Restrictions. A link to Governor Insleeʻs November Restrictions can be found here:

Currently Ola Mai I Loko Mai is not mandated for closure or to reduce capacity. As Licensed Massage Therapists, health care practitioners, we are licensed through the Washington State Department of Health. Therefore, we are currently exempt from newly mandated restrictions. 

Please wait in your car and text us upon your arrival, our cell phone is (949) 549-9458. First, to ensure that we have completed our sanitization and cleaning of our massage room. Second, so you donʻt freeze in the cold, as our front door to the building is locked at all times.

All Intake Forms are in digital format, which are received via email, please fill out your intake forms prior to your arrival. If you have not received an email from us please email us and let us know we will get another intake form sent out.

A COVID-19 Form is enclosed in each of your confirmation emails for your Lomi session, please ensure that you have filled it out prior to your arrival. If you have not filled out your COVID-19 form digitally, you will be required to fill out a paper COVID-19 form upon your arrival and prior to entering our office. 

Your temperature will be taken upon your arrival to our office for your Lomi session.

Please WEAR your mask upon arrival to your appointment and into our building. This ensures the safety of YOU, your massage therapists, our business, and our fellow tenants within our building.

Thirdly, Elijah and I take great thought and consideration in ensuring that we uphold and exceed public health requirements in regards to cleaning and sanitization. We will continue to perform sanitation of all areas before and after all appointments. This includes the massage tables, all bolsters, massage equipment, mats, doorknobs, light switches, chairs, etc. Please be patient with us as we ensure that we abide by all public health standards and requirements prior to inviting you into our office for your Lomi session. 

Last but not least, we will continue to inform all of you of any changes by Governor Inslee or the State of Washington via email and on our website.

REOPENING Saturday June 6th

Aloha Esteemed Clients,

We are overjoyed to announce that we are reopening our Lomi Studio effective Saturday June 6th. Thankfully the Department of Health and WA Government has given us the green light for us to reopen.

We hope that all of you and your loved ones have been well, safe, and well in the last few months. Thank you all for your aloha, patience, and continued support as we all navigate these unprecedented times.

As we welcome you back into our aloha filled home away from home, you will find some changes, predictably, to help keep people safe from COVID-19 or novel coronavirus. Majority of our practices are a continuation of what we have been practicing since our inception, with a few exceptions.

1. All Intake Forms are in digital format which are received via email, please fill out forms prior to your arrival.

2. A COVID-19 Form is enclosed in each of your confirmation emails for an appointment, please ensure that you have filled it out prior to your arrival.

Ola Mai I Loko Mai is located in SODO at 1952 1st Ave S #5, Seattle, WA 98134.

Please wait in your car and text 949-549-9458 upon your arrival for your appointment. Our building front door is LOCKED at ALL TIMES.

Our office building is one building north of the Starbucks on 1st Avenue S and directly across from Macrina Bakery and Cafe.

Should you be arriving by car; there is free street parking on a first come first serve basis. Street parking is available on 1st Avenue S, across the street from Starbucks drive thru on Walker Street, or along Occidental Avenue S. A paid parking lot is also available next to Macrina Bakery and Cafe or across from the Starbucks headquarters a few blocks south on 1st Avenue S.

Transit options is also readily available. 

Bus Line #21 is outside the building.

Both Stadium or SODO Link Rail Stations  are nearby.
